San Antonio HS Team Suffers Racial Taunting

San Antonio, Texas seems an unlikely place in the U.S. for racial profiling to exist in high school basketball games, but for the second year in a row, high school students and fans participated in poor decision-making.

This happens in the heat of the political season.

Emotions are heavy on the topic of illegal immigration, but until appropriate legislation and resolutions are put forth, people must be more tolerant and not choose to be ignorant in public situations because they attract attention to themselves for the wrong reasons.

Alamo Heights H.S., a pre-dominantly white team, was playing Edison H.S., a team made up of minorities, when this latest insult was hurled by the crowd.

The story of these taunts made the headlines of the San Antonio Express-News.  The story is here.
